This is a journey of Virginie Vlaminck, a Belgian photographer, who enthusiastically moved to Chennai in 2011 to witness “Vibrant India”, but felt miserable by the plight of the beaches filled with dirt and piles of garbage and how people knowingly were littering them, harming the ecological biodiversity at large. This motivated her to start “Namma Beach Namma Chennai” mission that indulges the young volunteers and local communities to clean the beaches and create awareness amongst people.
