He started film making with a mission to capture the essence of lives, moments, traditions, and practices from the recent past and preserve them for generations to come. His journey into the world of cinema began when he and researcher Simantinee Bhagwat dedicated over two years to developing a concept and conducting extensive field research on the topic of radio. He reached out to Bidit Roy, a seasoned documentary filmmaker, to co-direct the film. Bidit has always been fascinated by the ways people derive joy from the simplest of things. And thus he embarked on the path of self-funded documentary.
