A-Jeeb

(Tasteless)

8min  |  Hindi  |  Comedy, Horror

So much of a woman’s identity is formed by what she does with her mouth: whether she tastes the food she’s made before feeding it to her family, or uses it to satisfy the voyeuristic needs of audiences watching her on screen. My short film, A-Jeeb is a short look at a woman who can’t taste, and draws a parallel between the satisfaction drawn from food and sex. More often than not, it is the woman who is the least satisfied person in a home - most won't recognise that she even has an 'appetite'.
